Motorized TV mount
TV mount manufacturer Vogel's has been selling a motorised, remote controlled TV mount. However, with two motors and a retail price of 700,- they were looking for a cheaper addition to their product line. We developed a TV mount using a four bar mechanism relying on only one motor. During this project I spent most time on optimization of the product; strength stiffness, production and assembly techniques and usability.
This was my first project in the TU Delft and it taught me a great deal about responsible decision making and how to balance vision and a realistic outcome.
