Designing custom 3d printed medical orthoses
Since januari 2024, I have been devoted to designing customised medical braces. With the use of accurate 3D scans of patients hands, I have been designing products uniquely for the client's anatomical fit, personal disabilities and specific use scenarios. The process delivers a product that fits better and lasts longer than prefabricated standard orthoses, while the process is reproducible at the same time. At time of writing (dec. '24), I produced 1268 braces (and counting) with a range of different materials, functionalities and print techniques.
